I liked how everyone was linked and also how Almodovar takes a step outside of "lo normal". For example, the relationship between Benigno and Alicia is not necessarily what one would constitute as a normal relationship, however, without the love of Benigno Alicia would have never been removed from her coma. Another interesting fact from the movie was the ending. I was really expecting Alicia and Marco to start a relationship ( even though it would have been kind of odd considering Marco's relationship with Benigno), but the movie ends before we have a chance to find out, and it just leaves more unanswered questions.<br /><br />Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary was also surprising to me being that I have never watched a silent film before. The ballet was a crucial element because it was the only time that we experienced any type of emotion. The fact that Dracula was Asian, was another interesting factor because all of the Dracula films that I have seen usually have a white Dracula (besides Blacula--y'all don't know nothing about that :-P ).
